Mount Kenya
Africa’s Second Highest Peak
Rising majestically on the Equator, Mount Kenya is a site of profound beauty and spiritual significance to the local communities. Its jagged, snow-capped peaks tower over a landscape of montane forest, bamboo belts, and bizarre afro-alpine moorlands inhabited by unique giant lobelias and groundsels.
While often overshadowed by Kilimanjaro, Mount Kenya is widely considered a more scenic and challenging trek, featuring shimmering glacial lakes and some of the best high-altitude mountaineering in Africa. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site and a global biosystem of immense importance.
